Ananda Kitchen
A South Indian vegetarian restaurant in Langley Park, Maryland. We built its menu site, menu.anandakitchen.com, in about a week.
Where it started
Ananda already took pickup orders through a Square Online store. Many dishes there had short or missing descriptions, and there was no menu written for people searching for one dish, like a ghee podi dosa.
What we built
- A page for each of 83 dishes. Each has the price, a description and an order button that opens the restaurant’s own store.
- Prices straight from Square. The menu site reads the ordering store, so a price changed there shows up on the site the next time it’s published.
- Pages for each kind of dish: dosa, idli and vada, chaat, Swaminarayan and vegetarian.
- Pages for the people nearby: 7 nearby towns, students near the University of Maryland, and South Indian food in Maryland.
- 22 blog posts that answer what people ask about the food.
- The ordering store, cleaned up: 53 item descriptions and 31 search titles rewritten in Square.
- A review card for the counter with a QR code that opens the Google review form.

Results
