What we store
- When you order: your name, email, phone and billing address, and what you ordered. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your card number. If your order comes with hosting after the free months, Stripe keeps the card on file for it until you cancel.
- In your client portal: your business details, the files you upload, your notes, your change requests, and which invites you’ve marked as sent.
- In the site editor: your site’s content and photos, and every earlier version, so you can go back to one.
- When you send a message: your name, business, email, any order or quote ID you add, and your message. It’s emailed to us, and we keep it as long as we need it to answer you.
- When you ask for a free sample: your business name, website, type of business, email and your note.
- To stop spam: a short-lived record of the internet address a sample request came from, deleted after one minute.
- When you sign the Service Agreement: the version you signed and its fingerprint, your name, business and email, your order, the time, and the internet address and browser you signed from.
We don’t use cookies, ads or tracking on afewblocks.com, and we never ask for or store your passwords. Stripe’s checkout page sets its own cookies on Stripe’s site, under Stripe’s privacy policy.
Why
Only to do the work you ordered or asked for, to send you a sample if you requested one, and to keep the service running.
Where it’s kept, and who sees it
Your details and files are stored with Cloudflare, which runs this site. Payments are handled by Stripe. Both handle data for us under their own privacy terms. We don’t sell or share your information with anyone else.
How long
We keep client information for as long as you’re a client, and for 12 months after, then delete it. Free sample requests are deleted after 12 months. Signed agreements and payment records are kept for 7 years, for taxes and in case of a dispute.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we store about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, except records we have to keep, such as signed agreements and payment records. For privacy requests: Email us at hello@afewblocks.com or use the contact form.
